THE HISTORY OF THE BOAT
Prana, previously Kiki, is a professionally-built 14m aluminium sloop.
Designed by New Zealander John Sayer, it is a combination cruiser racer. It is a particularly pleasurable boat to sail. This architect-designed boat was specially conceived to take part in the prestigious Australian Sydney to Hobart Regatta. All the professionals agree on the particular difficulties of this race. One understands why such meticulous attention to detail was given to her construction. Later modifications were made to accommodate additional cruising comforts, making it both comfortable and rapid. Only 2 examples of this exclusive boat were made.
